Can I buy?

Check if you have enough money for the things you want. Tap Can I buy? on the app's menu to start.

1. Put in your money ๐Ÿ”—

Tap the My money box at the top and type how much money you have. That is all you need to do โ€” the answer works itself out at the bottom of the screen.

The My money part of the app. The heading says My money, with a round button showing bank notes at its right. Below is an empty money box with a small round microphone button inside its right end.
Type your money in the box. The round ๐Ÿ’ต button is for counting notes and coins. The ๐ŸŽค inside the box is for saying the amount. Both only show while the box is empty.

Not sure how much you have? Count your notes and coins with the ๐Ÿ’ต button. Rather talk than type? Say the amount with the ๐ŸŽค.

2. Add the things you want to buy ๐Ÿ”—

Under Things I want to buy, type the price of the thing you want. The price is on the tag or the shelf.

Want more than one thing? Tap ๏ผ‹ Add item and type the next price. That button only appears once the last price box has something in it, so you never end up with empty boxes.

3. Read the answer ๐Ÿ”—

As soon as you type a price, the answer shows at the bottom of the screen. It updates by itself โ€” you do not need to press anything.

โœ… Green means CAN BUY โ€” you have enough money. It also shows how much money you will have left.
The app showing $50 of money and two things costing $4.50 and $12.90. A green panel at the bottom says: Can buy. Money left: $32.60. At the top, a small green label says $32.60 left.
Green: you can buy it
โœ‹ Red means CANNOT BUY โ€” it shows how much more money you need.
The app showing $10 of money and two things costing $4.50 and $12.90. A red panel at the bottom says: Cannot buy. You need $7.40 more. At the top, a small red label says $7.40 more.
Red: you need more money

The keyboard can cover the bottom of the screen while you type. The answer shows at the top too, between ๐Ÿ  and โœ•: like โœ‹ $7.40 more or โœ… $32.60 left.

If the My money box is empty, the app counts it as $0. So the answer says Cannot buy until you put your money in.

4. Not enough? See the money you need ๐Ÿ”—

When the answer says Cannot buy, tap ๐Ÿ’ต Show me. The app shows the notes and coins you still need, with pictures. Tap โœ” OK to go back.

Example: you have $5 and the thing costs $6.30. You need $1.30 more: $1 + 20ยข + 10ยข.
The Show me screen. At the top it says You need $1.30 more, then $1 + 20ยข + 10ยข, then pictures of a $1 coin, a 20 cent coin and a 10 cent coin, and an OK button.
